DAX Gains Further

The DAX 40 extended its advance on Wednesday, climbing 0.7% to move above 26,400 and on track for a second consecutive session of gains, with banks, industrials, and technology shares leading the index higher. Market sentiment continued to be shaped by developments in the Middle East, while traders also positioned themselves ahead of Nvidia’s earnings release later in the day. The resumption of Iran–Oman talks over the Strait of Hormuz bolstered hopes that the key shipping lane could soon reopen, easing worries over prolonged supply disruptions. This prospect helped drive another pullback in oil prices, which in turn pushed bond yields lower and tempered inflation fears. Nonetheless, recent US PCE data showed that inflation remains stubbornly elevated.
