Turkey’s imports rose 5.1% year-on-year to USD 33.0 billion in July 2026, primarily driven by an 11.8% increase in intermediate goods. In contrast, imports of capital goods and consumer goods declined by 11.5% and 1.3%, respectively. The leading sources of imports were China (15.3%), Russia (9.8%), Germany (7.6%), the United States (5.7%), and Italy (4.7%). Over the first seven months of the year, total imports increased by 4.7% to USD 222.09 billion.
