DAX Down for 3rd Day

The DAX 40 slipped 0.3% to around 25,900, hovering near one-month lows and extending its losing streak to a third session. Escalating tensions and attacks between the United States and Iran pushed oil prices higher, amplifying inflation concerns and reinforcing expectations of tighter monetary policy.

European government bonds continued to sell off, driving yields further up. Cyclical sectors bore the brunt of the pressure, with automakers, energy-sensitive industrials, and retailers all recording notable declines. Volkswagen was among the weakest performers, dropping 2.1% after news that it will be removed from the EuroStoxx 50 index on September 21. Shares of BMW and Mercedes-Benz Group also retreated, each losing more than 1%.
