Palestine’s trade deficit narrowed to USD 492.2 million in July 2026, down from USD 526.2 million in the same month a year earlier. Exports surged 32% year-on-year to USD 208.9 million, largely driven by a 35% increase in shipments to Israel, which accounted for 96% of total exports. By contrast, exports to other countries declined by 14%. On the import side, overall purchases from abroad rose 2% to USD 701.1 million, supported by a 12% increase in imports from Israel, which made up 61% of total imports, while imports from other countries fell by 9%. Over the January–July period, the trade deficit widened to USD 3,587.0 million, compared with USD 3,236.6 million in the corresponding period a year earlier.
