Spain’s seasonally adjusted industrial confidence indicator rose to -1.6 in September 2026 from -3.8 in August. While still slightly below the neutral threshold, it marked the highest reading since April 2023 and remained above its long-term average. The 2.2-point monthly increase was driven primarily by stronger production expectations (+4.5 points), which partially offset a weaker order-book balance (-5.3 points) and higher stock levels (+4.1 points).
