World Food Prices Rise for 3rd Month to New 2022-High

The FAO Food Price Index increased for the third consecutive month in September 2026, reaching 136 — its highest level since November 2022 — up from a revised 134 in August. Price indices for all major crop-based commodity groups (cereals, vegetable oils, and sugar) rose month-on-month, while the meat price index declined and the dairy price index was unchanged.
