Slovenia Swings to Trade Deficit in August

Slovenia posted a trade deficit of EUR 1,380.5 million in August 2026, reversing from a surplus of EUR 107.8 million in the same month a year earlier. Imports surged by 36.0% year-on-year to EUR 6,466.6 million, supported by higher purchases from both EU countries (+10.8%) and non-EU partners (+57.1%).
