Lithuania’s Producer Price Inflation Accelerates to 17.5% YoY in September

Lithuania’s producer price index (PPI) growth accelerated in September 2026, with the year-over-year rate rising to 17.50%, up from 13.60% in August 2026. The data, updated on 9 October 2026, highlight mounting price pressures at the factory gate level.

The PPI figures are calculated on a year-over-year basis, comparing each month with the same month a year earlier. The latest reading for September indicates that Lithuanian producers are facing significantly higher costs than a year ago, and that these cost pressures intensified compared with the previous month’s annual rate.

The pickup from August to September suggests a strengthening inflationary trend within the production sector, which could in time filter through to consumer prices, corporate margins, and overall economic conditions in Lithuania if elevated producer costs persist.
