Consumer prices in Morocco increased by 0.5% year-on-year in September 2026, marking the strongest annual rise since May and ending two consecutive months of deflation in July and August. On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose by 1% in September— the sharpest increase since March— after a 0.8% gain in August. The largest monthly increases were recorded in food and non-alcoholic beverages (1.7%), transportation (1%), and education (1.2%).
