Despite the monthly slowdown, the annual growth rate of total consumer credit edged up to 9.8% from 9.7%. Annual growth in credit card borrowing moderated slightly to 13.1% from 13.3%, whereas growth in other forms of consumer credit picked up modestly to 8.3% from 8.1%.
