Services sentiment in the Eurozone declined to 5.3 in October 2026, down from a downwardly revised 5.9 in September and below market expectations of 5.9. The drop reflects managers’ increasingly negative assessments of both demand and overall business conditions over the past three months. In contrast, demand expectations for the coming three months improved. Among the bloc’s largest economies, confidence weakened in Germany (3.7 vs 6.6), France (-2.9 vs -2.6) and the Netherlands (4.5 vs 5.8), while it strengthened in Italy (7 vs 4.4).
