Ireland’s seasonally adjusted GDP expanded by 5.5% in the third quarter of 2026, easing from the strong 10.2% surge recorded in the previous quarter, according to preliminary estimates. The increase was driven mainly by growth in the multinational-dominated industry, and information and communication sectors. On a year-over-year basis, GDP rose by 3.9% in Q3, recovering from a 0.4% contraction in the preceding quarter.
