Philippines CPI Growth Cools to 0.7% in October, Easing from 1.0% in September

The Philippines’ consumer price index (CPI) rose 0.7% month-on-month in October 2026, slowing from a 1.0% increase in September, based on the latest data updated on 5 November 2026. The figures reflect a moderation in price momentum on a month-over-month basis.

The previous reading showed that CPI climbed 1.0% in September compared with August, while the October result indicates a weaker pace of price growth compared with September. The data suggest some easing in short-term inflation pressures as monthly gains in consumer prices decelerate.

According to the comparison methodology, the “actual” October figure measures the change in prices from September to October, whereas the “previous” measure tracked the change from August to September. The step down from 1.0% to 0.7% signals that, although prices continued to rise, they did so at a slower rate heading into the final quarter of 2026.
