Austria’s Wholesale Inflation Eases Slightly in October, Year-on-Year Growth at 10.0%

Austria’s wholesale prices continued to grow at a rapid pace in October 2026, but the rate of increase eased slightly compared with the previous month, according to the latest data updated on 6 November 2026. The Austrian Wholesale Prices index, measured on a non-seasonally adjusted year-over-year basis, rose by 10.0% in October, down from 10.2% in September 2026.

The figures indicate that while wholesale inflation remains elevated, the marginal slowdown suggests a modest cooling in underlying price pressures at the wholesale level. Both the current and previous readings compare prices in each respective month with the same month a year earlier, highlighting that double-digit annual growth in wholesale prices is still in place, albeit with a slight deceleration heading into the final quarter of 2026.
