The other source of his financial success is a controlling stake in the Beijing Wantai Biological Pharmacy company which produces rapid tests for Covid-19.

In fourth place in the ranking of the richest Asians is 43-year-old Chinese entrepreneur Colin Huang Zheng whose fortune is estimated at $53 billion. The tycoon is the founder of the largest online retailer in China, Pinduoduo, which was renamed PDD Holdings last year. Even though Colin Huang Zheng stepped down as chairman several years ago, he still owns about 28% of its shares. In addition, the businessman’s portfolio includes assets of the online retailer Xinyoudi and another e-commerce marketplace Ouku, both of which he also founded.
Zhang Yiming
39-year-old Chinese IT businessman Zhang Yiming ranks fifth on the list of the wealthiest people in Asia. At present, his account includes more than $43 billion. This tycoon is known as the founder of the technology giant ByteDance, whose main achievement is the globally popular TikTok application, which boasts more than 1 billion users worldwide. Currently, Zhang Yiming owns a 20% stake in ByteDance, which operates in various sectors including news, education and gaming.
