Importantly, analysts from the think tank do not assess country’s prosperity by the welfare of its population. Experts rank countries according to their performance judging 89 various indicators. For example, they considered an unemployment rate, polled citizens about their political freedom. Please get to know the most unsafe countries in 2015. These countries are acknowledged as dangerous due to non-stop military operations, an extremely high rate of infected population etc.

Guinea is ranked 12th on the list. The state has been showing very low economic indicators. Besides, experts highlight that Guinea lags behind many countries in terms of the Entrepreneurship & Opportunities Index. It means that it is quite complicated or nearly impossible to run one’s own business there.

The 11th place is occupied by Liberia. This country is notorious being the worst stricken during the Ebola epidemic. On the whole, 5,000 nationals became victims of the deadly virus. Therefore, Liberia has one of the lowest ranks by the Healthcare Index. Moreover, the country got the worst score in terms of economy.

The 10th rank is given to Angola. This country can “boast” about low scores in all aspects assessed by the research institute. Interestingly, Angola was downgraded to a lower rank in 2015 compared to slightly better performance a year ago.

Sudan is evaluated as the 9th among the most unsafe countries in the world. The country has not improved its performance since 2014. On the contrary, last year Sudan was ranked 130 in the global prosperity rating. This year, it tumbled to the 134th place. Sudan has the second lowest score in terms of personal freedom.

Yemen is ranked 8th in the anti-rating. The Legatum survey logs the worst Political freedom Index there. Besides, Yemen’s economy is fairly considered to be one of the most unstable in the world. Despite the negatives, the country was upgraded to the 135th line in the prosperity rating in 2015 from the 138th place earlier.

Syria takes the 7th place among the most dangerous states. The long-lasting war pushed the country to such a low rank. Frequent bombing and the counter-terrorism campaign caused total chaos in the Middle-East state. Syria used to be at the 90th place in earlier surveys. This year, Syria sank nearly to the bottom of the anti-rating.

The Democratic Republic of Congo occupies the 6th place. The country has extremely low scores in most indicators. However, the Social capital sub-index equals 65, which is an average decent score.

Burundi is ranked 5th on the list. It is the fourth country from the bottom with the weakest economic indicators. Burundi is given the lowest scores in terms of social capital and healthcare.

Chad has climbed several lines upwards in the survey of 2015. Nevertheless, the country displays extremely low scores in almost all sub-indices.

Haiti is the third least prosperous country on earth. Natural disasters leave the long-lasting aftermath in many aspects. In 2010, the country suffered from the devastating earthquake. This year, Haiti has revealed bad results in several sub-indices: Governance, Healthcare, and Personal freedom.

The second place from the bottom is fairly occupied by Afghanistan. The country has been involved in the war for several years. So, weak indicators in many aspects came as no surprise. The Governance and Safety & Security sub-indices are the worst in the world.

At last, the Central African Republic is at the bottom of the prosperity rating. Interestingly, citizens of this state believe they are enjoying a lot of personal freedom. However, the other sub-indices enable analysts to name the Central African Republic the most depressive country in the world.
