GBP/USD H4: Buyers Defend the Bullish Structure GBP/USD remains in a bullish medium-term structure on the H4 timeframe, but the recent rejection from the 1.3634–1.3673 resistance zone has shifted short-term momentum toward the sellers. The 100-day moving average is still positioned above the 200-day moving average, with both averages trending upward. This confirms that the broader trend remains bullish. The previous move above both moving averages also produced a clear sequence of higher highs and higher lows, supporting the current bullish structure. The key question now is whether buyers can defend the 1.3533 support zone. This level is particularly important because it is close to the rising 100-day moving average, creating a strong technical confluence. If price holds above 1.3533 and produces a convincing bullish reaction, the current decline could prove to be a normal correction rather than a trend reversal.

In that scenario, the first upside level to watch is 1.3597. A sustained break above this resistance could bring 1.3634 back into focus, while a breakout above 1.3673 would confirm a fresh higher high and strengthen the continuation setup. On the other hand, a decisive H4 close below 1.3533 would weaken the immediate bullish outlook and could expose the pair to 1.3473. Below that, 1.3399 and 1.3331 become the next important support areas. The 200-day moving average remains the major trend boundary. As long as GBP/USD maintains its position above this average, the medium-term bullish bias remains valid. A sustained move below it would be a much stronger warning of a potential structural reversal. For now, the setup is best viewed as a bullish trend undergoing a short-term correction. The reaction around 1.3533 should provide the clearest signal for the next directional move.
