Trading Journal 12 October 2026 AUDJPY Market Analysis

AUD/JPY

Good morning everyone! I'm getting more and more excited to welcome Monday. It seems like Monday is one of the most anticipated days for traders. It's not because I'm lazy at work, but because there's a unique thrill in opening the charts and looking for opportunities in the market. Unlike the conventional work routine at the office, trading always presents new challenges that keep us learning to read price movements. Okay, to start a new week, I'm interested in observing the development of the AUDJPY currency pair. Here's my analysis based on price movements and the technical indicators I use. Starting from the Daily timeframe, it appears that AUDJPY has experienced quite a significant increase since last week's trading. The price previously fell to touch the support area of 108,700, before finally rebounding and pushing up to 110,570. This reaction indicates that selling pressure is starting to weaken after the price entered the lower Bollinger Band area. This condition opens up the opportunity for a price recovery, especially when buyers start to enter and foster new upward momentum. Currently, the price is testing the middle Bollinger Band area, a key point in determining the direction of the price's future movement. On the other hand, the bullish engulfing pattern forming around the 110,000 area suggests that this zone has the potential to generate strong demand. Previously, this area provided a springboard for price rebound, and now a positive response is again evident as AUDJPY moves towards 110,570. If the price manages to break through the middle Bollinger Band with convincing momentum, further upside is possible towards the 50-daily EMA. This area, located around 111,200, is close to the supply zone, potentially presenting a barrier for buyers. Therefore, although bullish momentum remains, price reaction in this area should be monitored closely, as selling pressure could re-emerge once the price enters the resistance zone. The MACD histogram appears to be rising and is above the signal line. This indicates that bullish momentum is developing, and buying pressure is becoming more dominant than in the previous downward phase. However, I remain vigilant about price confirmation, as a rise in the histogram alone is not enough to guarantee a bullish trend will continue without a correction. Based on these conditions, I see a buy opportunity in AUDJPY as still quite attractive. Entry plans could be considered around 110,300 if the price corrects, or waiting for confirmation of a breakout above 110,600. I place my upside target in the 111,300 area, while still monitoring momentum developments and potential price rejection in the resistance zone. For risk management, stop-loss placement needs to be adjusted according to the price structure and individual risk tolerance. This concludes the AUDJPY analysis for the trading journal for Monday, October 12, 2026. Hopefully, this technical reading can serve as a reference in identifying market opportunities at the start of the week. Prioritize confirmation, be disciplined with your trading plan, and don't ignore risks amidst the developing price momentum. Hopefully, today's trading activity runs smoothly and yields optimal results for all of us.
